I got sent out to spend $400 today so I would get the 10 000 skymiles/MQMs bonus. A real chore, as you can imagine! So off I went with my mam happily tagging along. Since as of this morning, our kids didn't own anything but 2 boxes of used books and a bunch of stuffed animals, adding on to that list was our mission. And we did good! Both our little boy and little girl have underwear and socks (the boring part), a winter coat, 2 pairs of jeans, several sweater sets and our girl got some dresses too! They are all proudly hanging in the closet and folded in the dresser.
We also cleaned up the room upstairs (they will be sharing a room for a while since they have never slept alone) so there is actually space for kids in the room. It is really starting to look like a kids room. My dad hung the curtains that match our little girls bedspread and asembled the dollhouse bookcase. It still needs some decoration but a trip to IKEA in Dallas over christmas break has been scheduled for that purpose.
