Because we moved and some of the documents had expired we spent most of this week getting all the paperwork updated. New house pictures, new medical checks, new criminal background checks, new employment certifications, an update to the home study etc etc etc. Unbelievable what it takes to get a little boy and a little girl from Vladivostok to Baton Rouge. Poor Marc, because he had 2 days off from work, did most of the work driving around town. Thank you !!!! Of course I had to make things more complicated than needed because..... I hadn't changed the address on my driver's license yet so the address on the criminal check was wrong. An unplanned trip to the DMV to get that fixed and a new trip to the Baton Rouge polic office for a new background check. But.....It is done. All forms and pictures got at Beacon House in time to be send to Russia.
I look at the pictures of my very possible future children several times per day. I am so curious to meet them and see them in real life. They look so serious in the pictures (that is on purpose) and I really want to know what they would look like when they smile. Just a few more weeks!
