After a very good flight from Baton Rouge to Memphis, and Memphis bbq for lunch (Marc's comment! if it is food it is important, right!) we spend the afternoon at the airport playing on the internet (watching a dutch show with auditions for the new Evita) and napping (guess who!!) we boarded our flight. Orgininally we had a 30 min delay because we had to wait for some connecting passengers but when pulling away from the gate there was a mechanical problem which, because of safety, had to get fixed. I don't know what a broken oven has to do with safety and I would have prefered to have cold meal over......missing our connection in Amsterdam, but that is my opinion. Anyway, the flight over was very good but we missed out connection in Amsterdam. Amsterdam airport is set up that people get the most steps possible so after running back and forth a few times we got rebooked on a 8:40pm flight arriving at 2am in Moscow. Luckily we are still on US time so that is only 7pm for us and we have an airport hotel and plenty time to sleep in Moscow since we are not leaving until 8:00pm for our last leg to Vladivostok. So a small hiccup after all.
So now we are at spending the day at the airport (which really is a very nice airport with plenty shopping and restaurants, a voucher for a free meal and for $50 off on our next flights with KLM/NWA.
