Our first good bye party

Yesterday we had our first good bye party before our departure to Maryland.  We are very exited to move (17 and 14 years in Baton Rouge was much longer than either one of us had ever though we would be here), but sad to leave our friends.

So our first party was at the dragonfly  pub owned by a co-worker of mine.  The pub is in her back yard and not open for the public, just friends.  Once a month she organizes a friday after work get together and Marc and I have been several times. It is always a lot of fun.  Yesterday was our last get together and since a lot of people never met Hannah and Ivan, they came along, dressed in tiger outfit that were made by Darlene, another co-workers.  For those who don't know, the LSU sports teams are the tigers (complete with a life tiger, Mike, as a mascot) and they are VERY popular.  Life in Baton Rouge is completely different on football saturdays. Everybody is either at the stadium or in front of a tv somewhere and the town is dead. 

The funny coincidence is that the tiger is also the mascot of Vladivostok, the birthtown of Hannah and Ivan. So.... they have to be tiger fans!
