It is getting close

Today I made my last trip to our adoption agency to get the documents for the US consulate notarized.  Our visas should arrive tomorrow, the suitcases are packed, we have presents for our Russian friends, toys for the kids in the babyhome and about 20 pairs of little shoes. Marc was working hard to get the 2009 taxes done since we have to bring a copy of the tax returns of the last 3 years. 2009 was a complicated year since we sold and bought a house. But for once we are early doing our taxes!

Work has been organized so it can roll without me, we have a house/dog/cat sitter who will arrive Saturday morning. We are in good shape. Hard to believe!  We were scrambling to get everything straightened out before trip 1 which was only a week!  I guess subconciously we were getting ready before we even knew when we were leaving. We also had a week longer to arrange everything and I guess we are more experienced now.  The visa application was far not as stressful and the papers for that were ready to leave the house the morning after we received THE call.

Anyway, just 3 more days and we are on our way. British airways will go on strike but after we travel (we'll worry about the trip back when the time comes if needed) so nothing is in our way anymore. WE ARE READY!!
