11 February 2010

we have a 'rendez-vous' in Vladivostok on March 2!

Marc and I were at a concert at the symphony tonight.  At the intermission Marc got a call on his cell from Denise from Beacon House.  Our presence is requested in Vladivostok on March 2nd with a court date on March 4th!  We were both jumping around in the middle of the hallway, had to call parents, brothers and sisters while standing out in the cold and rain (it was too noisy in the hall) and neither one of us had the slightest interest in the rest of the concert (we did go back and it was actually very nice).

It is for real!  We are going to Vladivostok to pick up our little brother and sister on Feb 26 or 27th and they will be ours for good on March 14th.  It is hard to believe.  Just 2 more weeks and all the waiting is done and over with.  Thank you Beacon House and Oksana for getting everything done in such a timely way. Your 'guestimates'  were right on the dot.

MAMMY AND DADDY ARE COMING TO GET YOU VERY SOON NOW!

  6. Just the post I've been waiting to read!!!!
We may still be in Vlad when you arrive.
We made the 15 hour flight to Seoul today. Tomorrow is the much shorter flight to Vladivostok. I am so hoping that we will be able to see our little one the day we arrive. It's been too long...
Again, I am jumping up and down for joy with you too! What a blessing.

  8. Hi Meredith! How are things going? It does seem like yesterday, doesn't it? And at the same time very long ago.

How is Oleg doing? he was such a good boy that evening (and every time we saw him actually). It is so sad that you meet all these people at the Vlad motor Inn who you probably never see again.
