Luggage and Potluck

Yes.... Marc is on his way to the airport to get our luggage while I am writing this blog. You can't imagine how tired I am of my hot pink fleece sweater!  Keep you fingers crossed everything will make it here in one piece!  On the positive side.... I really learned how little you need to be able to function. It will be great to have my things but I don't think it affected the quality of the past week one little bit in the end. In a way it made us get closer to the other families here who were all very helpful lending us anything they could lend us.  they really all were wonderful!!

Everything is still going great. the kids are getting more and more confident with us and are also becoming more confident in their environment.  The play with eachother more and more as well and seem to start to understand English and are starting to say some words besides pappa and mamma.Up is the favorite and the most consistent.

We played with the other kids in the downstairs playroom both yesterday morning and this morning. Marc went grocery shopping with Jason Porter and Justin and Amber and their 2 kids yesterday morning.  without a translator this time so he came home with curry sauce instead of mustard!  And that while the bottle cleary said 'KOPPN COYC'.  Doesn't look like 'MOCTAPT' to me!!!

In the afternoon we played a bit more and Marc cooked chicken and rice and a salad for our adoptive family potluck which was a great success!  5 families and 7 kids showed up and we had a nice spread of food. The parents had some time to chat together while the kids played.  A wonderful break of our time in our room.

In the evening we skyped with opa and oma in the Netherlands and both kids were in a great mood. Singing songs, laughing and our little girl even told oma she was 3 years old. they waved and had a ball.

This morning we skyped with grandma and grandpa in Dallas which was great as well. They even got to see cabaka Raffy (guff guff said our little boy) and also waved.

Tomorrow Oksana is taking us to the aquarium. I am sure the kids will love that. They are very attracted to animals and other kids.
