Here I am again in the hotel lobby while the kids (and daddy as well I am sure) are napping in the room. Both Hannah and Ivan were exhausted yesterday so we decided we would have a quiet day today. The hotel has a very nice playroom with toys that are more suitable for 2+ year old kids than at the VMI. So after breakfast we played with the legos drew on the black board and Hannah made sure everybody, the stuffed animals included, got their share of tea, coffee, soup and bread at the little bright coloured IKEA tables and chairs. We sang songs (Hannah is close to being able to sing twinkle twinkle little star!), Ivan rode the rocking horse etc.
When everybody wakes up, we'll go for a walk and search for post cards (the nice thing of the red square is that it is not littered with souvenir shops, but... therefore we have not found postcards yet). Maybe we'll venture out to a new restaurant. We'll see.
So glad to hear things continue to move along nicely for you all. The marriot sounds very nice. You'll be home with those kiddos before you know it, wow.
ReplyDeleteYikes, 1 deg in Vlad? Its been in the 80's here this weekend! I'm sure our little miss is nice and toasty warm inside though, but wish she was here is So Calif!
